The Appeal

The CX is one of those cars that can make you glad to be alive. It comes from an era when certain car makers pushed the boundaries to be different, rather than followed the herd.
Its sleek Pininfarina-influenced styling clothed the sort of technology you would expect from the maker of the DS. The CX was more evolution than revolution, but that meant buyers got what was brilliant about the DS – the magic-carpet ride, the acres of space – plus an incredible space-age interior.
The Series 1 cars stick closest to this vibe, retaining the amazing interior and the neat chrome exterior detailing. This one began its life in Hungary before filming for the BBC/Netflix series The Serpent changed its colour scheme and saw it arrive in the UK in 2022. Described by the vendor as a ‘light project; it is nevertheless presentable, has recent mechanical work and runs, drives and stops as it should.
With just three Reflex models road registered in the UK, this is a very rare opportunity to acquire a historically interesting example.
