1979 Jaguar 4.2 XJ6 Auto – Decent running project with great transferable plate

Interesting early Series III light project; on the key – runs and drives well, ready for a general recommission including bodywork to finish it off but it doesn’t appear to be far off being a decent example.

Annually MOT’d from 2008 to 2019 and only 1 owner for the last 40 years, the engine starts on the key, pulls well & gearbox seems smooth. Brakes are on the spongy side but have sharpened up after a short run.

Interior is complete, doorcards are in good condition, seats are ready for a refresh but will come back, centre console woods will need attention. Webasto roof slides smoothly & electric windows work. Bumpers and external brightwork in good order (strip missing from boot), please see photos for bodywork/paint issues.

The registration 4916D is included in the sale, has been valued at £4-6,000 and the current V5 shows no transfer restrictions.
