1919 Cadillac Type 57 Sedan, Interesting History
£20,000

This wonderful motor car was in single family ownership for 100 years & documentation shows a Massachusetts registration.

Bought in the US by Pinewood Studios and then shipped to the UK for the Disney Dumbo Movie, she underwent an interior restoration in 2019 at the cost of £12,000, to correct specification. Wonderful luxurious interior carries 8 passengers; with a bench seat up front and full width rear seats plus 2 occasional chairs.

Impressive Coker refurbished artillery wheels, plus spares on rear bulkhead, she boasts a wonderful presence with paint and brightwork presented beautifully.

Powered by a 3.3 litre flathead V8 with a 4 speed manual transmission, she starts on the button and runs, drives and stops remarkably well.

The type 57 was in production between 1917 and 1919 and is remembered as the car America’s top brass used during The Great War. The type 57 evolved from the Type 51, one of the first production cars to use a mass produced V8, an important technological advance that really put Cadillac on the map.

These beautiful Caddy’s rarely become available, and it’s particularly unusual to find one in Europe.
